My monitor is displaying "Input not supported". What does that mean? |

Before we start check list:
Make sure the
monitor is compatible with your operating system. Most monitors in
the market are approved to work with Windows XP. If you are running Any
other operating system ( Example: Linux, any Apple OS or ever an
earlier version of Windows) may cause this message. |

| The most common reason for
this message to appear:
Wrong resolution and/or refresh rate is the most common reason(s) for this message to appear. You can get the native resolution and refresh rate from your monitor's manual. Let us check and compare. 1.
To check the
resolution and refresh rate values, Click on Start 2. In the Control Panel window, Click on Appearance and Themes 3. From the Appearance and Themes window, click on Display 4. You should see the Display Properties window, click on the Settings tab. 5.
Make sure 1 the
resolution is set to the native resolution then Click Apply 6. Once you click on the Advanced button, you should see the window below. Make sure the DPI (Dot Per Inch) value is correct to your monitor (refer to your monitor's manual for this value) then click on the Monitor tab. 7. After you
click on the Monitor tab, you should see the window below. Make
sure the refresh rate value is the one recommended by your manual then
click Apply Restart your computer. If the message is still there. Your monitor need to be checked by an authorized service center. Please contact the manufacturer's tech support. |
