If you purchased your computer from a vendor, more likely you will receive recovery CDs. You will not receive Windows XP CD.

More and more computer manufacturers are not including any CDs with their computer. You will be prompted to create your own set of recovery CDs at the initial setup.

If you are in doubt, contact the manufacturer of your computer to make sure you received all the items shipped with your computer.

NOTE: The Certificate of Authenticity sticker on your computer is your license to use the OEM version of the operating system which came with your computer. It does NOT mean the manufacturer must provide you with a retail version of Windows XP.
