Perform this procedure if your computer (or monitor) is not turning on. This is called Power Reset and will discharge the circuits on your devices board(s). In plain English, it will straighten any misbehaving component on the board.

Before we start check list

Is your computer plugged in.
Test the outlet with another device to make sure it has power.
Is there any power switches other than the ON/OFF button.
Desktops Users: Check around the power cable's end that connects to the computer.
Laptop and Monitor Users: Check the AC adapter (the power block).

If you checked all of the above, let us reset your device:

1. Disconnect the cable from the outlet and your computer (Disconnecting it from the outlet only is not good enough)
Laptop users: Remove the battery from your laptop. (This step is essential for laptop users)
2. Press and hold the power button for 30 seconds (It is important to time the 30 seconds)
3. Plug the power cord or AC adapter in the outlet and your device. (Please leave the battery out for now)
4. Try to turn the device on. If it is working fine, insert the battery.

If it is not turning on, please double check the "Before we start check list". If it is still not working, please contact the manufacturer or an authorized repair center.

NOTE: This process will work with most electrical appliances (TV, VCRs ... etc)
